Powers (2)Mastery of Air Creatures (2) - The hero may speak with, understand, and command creatures of the air. Powerful creatures like dragons and griffons can resist commands if their earth scores are equal or higher than the hero's fire score. In most cases must make eye contact - gestures enhance control and power. Unaging (0) - Tempest isn't getting any older. Minor Malefic Transformation (0) - In times of danger or rage Tempest undergoes a subtle transformation. Aura goes fiery and chaotic, mind becomes more callous, skin becomes leathery and tough, eyes flicker with firelight and mild increase in Strength and natural weaponry. No stat changes - just a special effect. |

82. The storm clouds hover over the mountain top, threatening their downpour in minutes, maybe seconds. Trees along the ridge line bend all together with the wind's force, as if all of them have suddenly begun to bend and pray. On top of the grass covered bald peak a figure stands, looking up into the sky, casually, as if accustomed to nature's displays of power. This is the Character - Tempest. The card is a reflection of his Violent Elemental Affinity with nature... Fire/Lightning and Storms. While filled with his own prowess and power he is aware of his relative status to the powers with which he deals, but fears them not. 72. A naked man and woman couple upon a wild moor beside a small mere under a brilliantly blue sky. The tall grasses half hide the couple, preventing the scene from being pornographic. Many small animals, cute and otherwise, can also be seen, lurking in the grass. Tempest is a fellow of huge passions and appetites. He may have had a wife or SO for a while, though he is currently un-attached. If he did have a significant lover they probably either parted on Very bad terms or tragically. The animals are both the bestial passions that hold him in thrall and another reminder of his elemental connections. 55. A young woman in a ball gown dances alone in front of a mirror in an otherwise empty room. Her once elegant gown is now tattered and threadbare. Her reflection dances in another world, worn gown replaced with finery, the room richly furnished and filled with guests. The woman dances with a handsome man dressed in regal finery. At the far side of the room, a raven sits upon a throne. His mother. She is a sorceress and a witch. She is also quite mad, in a far from pleasant way. She met a fellow who said he was a scion of Amber. A common tale, most every beggar or king claims his lineage dates back to the True Land. Also assigned to orphans and bastards. But he had a faint spark of something beyond the pale to him that she sensed so seduced him to gain a child from him for her own ends. The child was Tempest. Unfortunately he was stillborn. Being what she was she was unsatisfied with that and decided to "fix" it. So she took him to a pool deep in the mountains in which she lived. There she incanted over the pool and drenched him in the strange steaming hot ichor. She pulled him out, slapped him and he drew his first breath - born for a second time even more fey than his heritage would have made him. 71. The back of a man in a dark, torch lit corridor. He is caught in the act of placing something hidden by his body in a wall niche. To either side are other niches, each containing a severed human head. The heads look in towards the man with expressions of fear and loathing. One weeps! His first non-family adversary. Shortly after fleeing his home he attracted the attention of this foul character. The Magician feigned friendship at first and drew out his story from him. After confirming it with his trappedsoul/oracle heads, He decided that the strange young man would make a great sacrifical victim in his magics. Tempest escaped, beat him and took his tower and all it contained, learning a great deal about himself and the nature of the multiverse in the process at costs even yet perhaps unseen. He holed up there for quite some time honing his skills and abilities and finally could stay in place no longer. He set out to investigate some of the stories and - after becoming a bit more aware of his potential, set off to find his father. 88. A man and a large bird of perhaps twice his size look out from a cliff onto a strange vista. The land seems barren and is cut by a wide meandering river that reflects the sky above in golds and reds. At the horizon rises up a tremendous City of crystal the size of a mountain that shines nearly as brightly as the setting sun. One of the creatures he bonded to himself was the bird pictured. After his final experiments in his citadel, he used some of the new found power and knowledge to "shake" it lose of its bindings in reality a bit, setting it just a bit out of synch with the rest of the land mostly inaccessible by normal means. |
