He is not a large man, that much is obvious, but the heavy armor he wears as he stands looking down the trail makes him seem large. He is not brightly polished, or even very clean, or even handsome, but there is a look about him that makes the viewer wish to delve beneath the surface to find the gold within. I was a knight in the king's guard in a far off land. I've never been a big man, and the only thing me that got me into there were my parent's long friendship with the king. A man kneeling, arms raised in supplication towards a woman whose face is averted from looking at him, a halting hand raised before his face. They are in a long corridor with torches in brackets dotting the length of the wall. She was the king's daughter. I loved her dearly, but she would not deign to return the affections of a lowly knight whose only redeeming quality was a favor owed to his parents. A young man is carrying a beautiful girl in his arms. The man looks worried or angry, while the girl is totally relaxed, is she dead or sleeping? She does not seem to weigh very much in the hands of this man. War swept our land, and managed to reach the very foot of our castle. I and two others were assigned the duty of defending the princess. We never thought that the enemy would breech our wall, but they did. We managed a hasty retreat, protecting the princess as best we could against overwhelming odds, intent on selling our lives dearly. In the end, there was just myself with her at my back. I don't remember what brought me down, but I lived, and woke to find what remained of the princess beside me. It was then I realized what a lie the world is. |
Behemoth is short, just clearing five feet of height. He dresses in well worn, rather drab looking clothing that looks like it's probably been worn a bit too long. He has a generally unkempt appearance, needing a bath terribly. A perpetual scruff covers his face, since he can never seem to grow decent facial hair, and the hair atop his head tends to stick straight up a good four inches when not pinned down with his woolen cap. The right side of his mouth seems to be permanently twitched up, as though he's smirking. He carries a dagger, a bow, dried meat strips from his most recent kill. |
